Welcome to my blog, if you've come along to check out my wedding work you may find some just below, if not, that means it's probably buried beneath a few random posts, but you can navigate around with the tabs above easy enough to see my blogged weddings and also my rates.

But aside from weddings, i'll be posting random bits'n'bobs of my photography, so maybe check back in once in a while and see what i've been up to

ABOUT ME

Hello.
My name is Sabir and i've never liked writing about myself, so i will endeavour to keep this brief.

I love photography, i always have done in one capacity or another, but it wasn't until 2007 that i bought my first film SLR camera. This hobby grew and grew until it became what it is today, my main profession.

As you can see if you click through to my portfolio site at the top of this page, i don't only shoot fashion/weddings, but there is something i love about capturing real people, showing genuine emotions and being completely natural. These always make for great photos.

So if you like my style and feel it would compliment your portfolio/wedding day well, then please get in touch, wherever and whenever your big day is.

Thanks for your time...

Sabir

My First Rangefinder
Hello all,
So I’m sitting at home, watching bad TV and killing time my favorite way in the world - checking out camera porn on pnet, when I get a knock on my door - I have a package. Now who the heck would deliver something this late at night? Anyways, grumbling I head down to see what the fuss is about when…
…I remember that I’ve been expecting the Canon Canonet 28mm Rangefinder 1960, I won from ebay for £5.
I was so excited I had to post pics here. Of course its in full working order, but need to buy film so I don’t know if the meter works but the shutter fires when I take it off “A”, the viewfinder is clear and it focuses smoothly. What a lovely camera, I’m super excited, can’t wait to take her for a spin tomorrow.
First impressions - this is a beautiful camera, and the shutter is silky smooth. No mirror slap! Focussing is an absolute breeze. Cannot wait to see what that cracker of a lens can do. She needs a bit of a clean up (foam seals are degrading of course and there seems to be some dust on the lens) but otherwise in good physical condition.
